MULTIPULSE TM+1470(Thulium) 120 W

JenaSurgical introduces MultiPulse Tm+1470 the last generation thulium laser, unmatched in terms of efficiency, accuracy and safety in multiple surgical application fields. MultiPulse Tm+1470 is the only system that combines a 1,940 nm Thulium laser with a 1,470 nm diode laser (maximum power 120 W + 30 W), designed to deliver the best performance in the operating room.

Unmatched in terms of efficiency, accuracy and safety.

The choice of emitting at 1940 nm is not accidental. This wavelength is absorbed by water more than 1st generation Thulium at 2040 or Holmium at 2100 nm.

To have a more significant coagulation effect, MultiPulse Tm +1470 is integrated with a 1,470 nm Raman laser, which can be combined as desired in the same fiber optics.

When a greater coagulation effect is required, it is sufficient to change from the “cutting-mode” to the “coagulation-mode”, selecting the 1,470nm diode only by pressing a different pedal. The pedal control allows the surgeon to select the required mode without changing the laser fiber and without looking away from the operating field.

The ability to mix or separate these two wavelengths, combined with the innovative technological solutions of MultiPulse Tm+1470, allows optimization of the laser beam interaction with the tissue. This ensures perfect vaporization and better hemostasis when cutting, using less working power and thus minimizing residual carbonization. Moreover, in addition to the continuous mode (CW), the MultiPulse Tm+1470 thulium laser system can work with pulsed emission, to operate with maximum precision and delicacy even in those areas that require “colder” action.

Advantages for the surgeon:

  • Specific for ureteral and kidney stones fragmentation
  • Effective for all types of stones
  • High success rate
  • Low percentage of complications
  • Short learning curve
  • Fast set up and easy to use

Advantages for the patient:

  • Minimally invasive surgery
  • Immediate relief from symptoms and short recovery time
  • Minimal side effects

Urethral Stricture

Treatment of urethral stricture, resulting from spongiofibrosis due to different causes such as inflammation or trauma, can now be quickly and effectively treated with holmium laser urethrotomy using MultiPulse Ho. This minimally invasive and safe procedure is suitable for short urethral strictures as well as for more significant strictures or for the treatment of urethral atresia. The laser ablates damaged tissue with a clean cut, free of bleeding and without penetrating too deeply. This reduces the risk of lateral thermal damage, complications, recurrences or the formation of post-surgery fibrosis, resulting in complete restoration of normal urinary flow.

The MultiPulse Ho system is also an excellent tool for ablation procedures, incision and coagulation of soft tissue, providing maximum operating control and minimal damage to adjacent areas. It offers a wide set of applications in surgery for tumors in the bladder, urethra, ureter and kidney.
